Business Development Representative

Are you an enthusiastic, proactive, and preferably experienced internal sales professional? We are looking for a new colleague to join our pre-sales team (Commercial Inside Sales) in the role of Business Development Representative for our offices in Arnhem and/or Utrecht (Papendorp). The position is available for 3 or 4 days per week.

As a Business Development Representative, you are an essential part of NetRom’s sales activities. You will be responsible for identifying, qualifying, and organizing prospects for sales campaigns through various channels such as LinkedIn, email, and phone. You have strong communication skills and a clear understanding of how to improve our lead generation efforts in innovative ways. In addition, you will manage and optimize data quality within Salesforce and supporting tools to help establish an effective sales strategy.

What will you do as a Business Development Representative at NetRom Software?

In this role, you are responsible for generating Sales Qualified Leads by arranging appointments for NetRom’s account managers or leadership team through proactive outreach via phone, email, and social media. You will follow up on specific marketing campaigns with the goal of initiating in-depth introductions with well-qualified prospects. In practice, the contacts you approach range from “warm” (generated through campaigns, network referrals, or previous interactions) to “lukewarm or cold” when we enter a new sector or target group. Your responsibilities cover a broad spectrum: identifying the right contacts within prospects, qualifying those prospects, improving data quality in our databases, engaging through various channels (email, LinkedIn, phone), and scheduling appointments.

In this position, you enjoy being the main point of contact and communicate clearly and convincingly, making you a pleasant discussion partner for our prospects. As a person, you are commercial, proactive, and driven to secure that meeting. You work in a structured way, connect easily with others, know how to persuade, and enjoy working independently.

Who are you?

  • You are an energetic, driven, and commercially minded go-getter who is persistent and doesn’t give up;
  • You are proactive, able to work independently, and take responsibility for your work;
  • In this role, you will report to NetRom’s Manager of Business Development;
  • You demonstrate competencies such as perseverance, result-oriented thinking, and strong social skills;
  • You enjoy reaching out to new customers and accurately recording actions in HubSpot, which helps you and your colleagues plan smart follow-up activities;
  • Experience with LinkedIn Sales Navigator and HubSpot CRM is a plus;
  • A good command of Dutch is required; English and German are considered an advantage.
  • You are available for 24–32 hours per week and live within reasonable distance of Utrecht or Arnhem;
  • Affinity for services in software development is always welcome.
